What We Believe :

Core Beliefs

  1. The Authority of Scripture: Our confession of faith upholds the Bible as the ultimate and infallible authority in matters of faith and practice. It asserts the divine inspiration, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Scriptures.
  2. The Trinity: We Affirm the orthodox Christian understanding of the Trinity, our confession declares belief in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. Creedal and Confessional: We do not hold any confession or the ancient orthodox creeds in authority as we do with the Holy scriptures, yet becasue they are derived from scripture we do see them fit for teaching and helping us remain within the orthdox pathways set forth by our Church fathers. In no way, shape or form do we allow our confessions or creeds to overrule the authority of God. We do allow ourselves to use the mold that the creeds and confession have set in place so that we do remain in sound mind and teaching unified as a body as percribed by scripture becasue of the depraved nature of man.
  4. Radical Depravity: We teach the doctrine of depravity also know as total depravity, asserting that human beings are born in sin and are spiritually dead, incapable of saving themselves without the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
  5. Sovereign Election: We teach the doctrine of election also know as the doctrines of unconditional election, asserting that God, in His sovereign will, chooses some individuals for salvation apart from any merit on their part, yet does not openly condemn any man because it is under their own will they will see condemnation.
  6. Exclusive Atonement: We teach the doctrine of atonement also know as limited atonement, affirming that Christ's atoning work on the cross is specifically for the believing Christian, securing their salvation.
  7. Overcoming Grace: We teach that God's grace in salvation is irresistible, meaning that when God chooses to extend His saving grace and it is open to all men.
  8. Secure Perservation: We teach the  perseverance of the saints, asserting that those who are truly born again will persevere in faith and holiness until the end, being kept by the power of God, not that they will have gregious sin in thier lives but have genuine repentantce and a changing nature from depratived to that of godliness through the process of sanctification.
  9. Believer's Baptism: We teach the practice of believer's baptism by full immersion, rejecting the notion of infant baptism. We see baptism as a public expression of faith and sign for those who have personally trusted in Christ that this person is now apart of this body of belivers.
  10. Lords Supper: We teach the Spirtual presence of the Lord during the supper, and denies any interpritation of the changing of the elemnts into the body of Christ. In no circumstances will we serve the elements to a non believing person, as this is the bond of the new covenant in which we are commanded to commemorate the propititory sacrifice of our Lord and meant solely for the body of belivers.
  11. Congregational Autonomy: Our body advocates for the autonomy of local congregations, with each church being self-governing and responsible for its own affairs. It acknowledges the roles of elders, deacons and lay leaders within the local church. The Church also affrims the betterment of the kingdom by associtiational connection to other like minded churches, not that the association or Churches have autority over this congreagation.
  12. Biblical Patriarchism: We teach that only men can lead men and in that role the organization is to be led not ruled. As the leaders are held in accountbility to one another in primary, the other offices in secondary and the organization in terchiary, where in a vote of the organizational body is nessicary for the removal of a leader from leadership. The office of Administartor, Deacon, or specialty may be held by Women, however this is an office of service and not authority as these are not promary leadership roles within our body. All this is in biblical authority as perscribed in the Holy scripture.
  13. Eschatology: Our teaching includes statements on the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal state. Our teaching denies Darbyism (Hyper-Dispensational Theology) and the sepration of Gods people, the failure of the Church, and the escaptist teachings of the Doctrine of Rapture. Our confession does not specify any particular historical or orthidox veiw of eschatology, ie. Pre,Post, or A- millennial.
